Dr. Hamat has been with DLDC since 1997.
Having completed his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Toronto, he did an additional year of training in therapeutic endoscopy and inflammatory bowel disease prior to joining the practice.
Dr. Hamat continues to have a strong interest in treating patients with inflammatory bowel disease and has been a past co-chairman of the Gulf Coast chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.
Dr. Hamat served a two year term as Chief of Staff at the Memorial Hermann Hospital Northeast Campus.
Dr. Hamat is available to see patients in our Humble and North Houston Offices.
When he is not caring for his many patients, Dr. Hamat enjoys hunting, fishing and traveling with his wife.
